This is my new blog on all things finance and technology. Follow along my journey to creating a kids savings bank and budgeting system. Filled with next-gen tech and fun financial services education. My goal is to expose parts of this as open source as I continue on the journey.
In between it all I’ll be building features for a new accounting solution MumTax and also working with my friend Dave of David King Accounting Dapto.
I’m a firm believer in building something and investing time in something that I want. So worst case if it doesn’t attract any external attention, at least I have something for myself. I have two young children who I’d love to build a kids saving system for them to award digital pocket money and to teach them the basics about finance. The idea is that they can learn about budgeting, goal setting, and financial planning while having fun too. So far, I’ve built a simple prototype and it’s been well received by my kids. I’m hoping to continue developing it and making it more engaging and educational for other kids as well.
The Kids Saving System is a fun and easy way for kids to learn about money and saving. I plan to include an automatic pocket money feature, kids can start earning pocket money without any hassle. With charts and graphs, they can track their progress over time and see how much they’ve saved. And with targets and goals feature, they can set savings goals and see how close they are to reaching them.
Building a savings system for your kids is a great way to get them excited about money.
It can be a fun and rewarding experience for both you and your children.
